To create/ extract new sequences from within a sequence expand the sequence by double clicking on it, shift select select the frames you wish to use then RMB Save As . Select the format file type and name from the Save As menu. Sequence master will then create a new sequence displayed in the ListView. Tip: The Pro-Player will play the selected frames from the expanded view.

7.

Resize a sequence by selecting The sequence in the lIstview then RMB Resize from the pulldown menu. Select the resize options, file size, type and destination then Save all to create a new resized sequence.

12.

To repeat a frame. Select the frame or image in the Listview . RMB - Repeat frame . Select range and or destination to create a new sequence of the same frame.
Tip: Top view single files and images within the list view, toggle the 's' to 'f' at the top of the ListView.

25.

ReTime a sequence by selecting the sequence in the ListView. RMB / ReTime and choose one of the two options.
A : Change frames per second accesses the SaveAs dialoque box which changes the frame rate of a sequence.
B : ReTime complete sequence extrapolates the amount of frames contained within a sequence. E.G:Original is 25 frames in length, you can make this 54 frames in length

26.

During a render select the first frames to appear in the ListView then RMB - Set sequence range, Enter the duration of the expected complete sequence in frames. This allows the Graph/Stats functions to become fully operational. Toggle Graph/Stats from the menu bar for the selected sequence. The Graph/Stats UI appears at the top of the directory view.
The MicroGraph in the Graph/Stats can be expanded to occupy the ListView by toggling the MicroGraph . The GraphView and MicroGraph  display the sequence in terms of file sizes. RMB the MicroGraph or GraphView to access the pulldown menu options

Set Sequence range

Set SequenceRange allows Sequencemaster to predict missing frames and render times

27.

The GraphView displays a sequence as file sizes . Once the expected sequence range has been set it  is very intuitive to see the progress of a render and see the activity of a given set of frames. For  example if rendering a 400 frame sequence with four machines a series of four 'spikes' would  appear in the GraphView . If at the end of render there are missing frames these are seen as spikes troughs in the graph and are listed in the Graph/stats . Tip : LMB drag select a portion of the graph and RMB to play that selection.

Graph & Stats

The GraphView is great for monitoring multiple renders on lots of machines

28.

The Graph/Stats can provide an extimate of the time a sequence will take to complete by calculating  the time the frames appear on the disk, these are then displayed on the Graph/Stats The Graph/Stats averages these times to display a render estimate and then add it to the PC clock. This estimate becomes more accurate with more machines rendering as there is more information along the sequence range to calculate from.
      Toggle : Seq Time Est
      Toggle : Render Est Live

29

Play a sequence from the GraphView by RMB over the graph for a selected sequence, RMB - select Play
To Play a section of the GraphView . LMB drag select to isolate a section of the graph

This can be run as a .bat file or executed from the render UI itself. select each line in the script to modify camera, render type and image output format. Click on Free typing to type directly to modify syntax or frame ranges.

Tip: If the .mb or .ma Maya scene file is the same as the image filename Sequencemaster will automatically load it into the scene file browser. Sequencemaster automatically names the outgoing image files created with the scene file name. This can be changed if desired.

Tip :For non Maya renderers simply think of the Render feature as script creator and amend the syntax accordingly, Then run the script as a .bat file.

Tip: Use the render button on the toolbar to access the render UI from any location. Use this to set up multiple overnight renders.

Tip : RMB over the GraphStats to create render scripts for missing frames.

Tip : Incomplete frames as well as missing frames can be identified by a dip in the graph which displays frames as file sizes.

38.

Use the Mask feature pull down options to select sequence by format type or simply type required name or letter followed by * to isolate by name.
